I have to be honest here. While I may not be very good at using my own products, I do know a little something about moisturizing skin. I have used many different brands of products over the years, both for my face and for my hair. I have also seen a lot of the products that I have used on my face, like those from REI, for example, make it look like I have a really thick, shiny coat of makeup on my face.
So, it has to be moisturizing. What is it moisturizing of? Some of my best-selling products are called “hydrating toners.” They are not actually moisturizers, but are in a similar vein. They are made with ingredients that are supposed to help your skin work more efficiently and give it that extra boost you so often need. The truth? While hydrating toners don’t actually make your skin feel better, they can make it feel better.
There are 2 types of hydrating toners, hydrophilic and hydrophobic. Hydrophilic toners are made with ingredients that have a lot of water and a lot of water-like qualities. They are good for dry skin, but can be a bit drying on sensitive skin. Hydrophobic toners are made with ingredients that are meant to mimic the texture of your skin. They are meant to be absorbed into the skin and make it feel more silky and smooth.
The two types of toners are similar, but the hydrophobic toners actually are better for sensitive skin. Hydrophobic toners can, however, be drying on certain types of skin, depending on what ingredients are used.
Hydrophobic toners can cause redness and dryness if you have sensitive skin, and they can irritate if you have dry skin. Water-like toners are used to mimic the texture of your skin. They are not meant to replace your skin and can help it feel smoother and less dry.
It’s important to note that some companies are selling hydrophobic toners that are not hydrophobic at all, which can cause irritation and redness. They are also sold in cans that are labeled as being water-like, so if that is true, it’s not something you want to use on your skin. If you have sensitive skin, though, I would recommend the silky or water-like toners.
That said, I have been using a few of the silky or water-like toners, and my skin is definitely smoother and less dry. It’s a bit on the dry side, but I don’t notice it as much. The silky or water-like toners also tend to be much more moisturizing than other toners we’ve tried, and they don’t leave a terrible feeling on my skin as we use them.
I think the reason we have so much of these moisturizers in our store is because they are very moisturizing, not drying. They are generally around $1.50-$2.50 per bottle.
The fact that they are moisturizing and not drying out is why they work so well. Just like the silky or water-like toners, they usually last about a week. We think they may be the most moisturizing and gentle toners weve seen.
We use ours every day because they are the most moisturizing and gentle you can get with a toner. We think they work because they are the most moisturizing and gentle you can get with a toner. They are about 1.50-2.50 in my eyes.
