I have a very pale complexion, and I am constantly complimented for it, whether it’s for the way I’m dressed or the way my skin is appearing on my face. I’ve always thought there must be a reason why people who have olive skin are so admired.
Well, it’s because they have olive skin. The olive family of skin colors (black, brown, and blond) has a genetic inheritance and are spread throughout the world. Those colors are also found on the skin of the majority of the animal kingdom, so it makes sense that olive skin is in the DNA of people with olive skin.
The olive complexion is a product of the sun’s rays, and it can also be inherited from both parents. In fact, the geneticist who first described the gene that produced the olive skin found it in both parents. The olive skin gene seems to be present in other populations, though, and this means that it is present in our own. So if you have olive skin, it is probably not a mistake.
Because of the suns rays, olive skin is almost impossible to bleach and that makes it a great choice for people with darker skin tones. People without dark skin tones often get a tan and olive skin gives the illusion of having a natural glow. Those darker-skinned people, however, can get the same effect by using a tanning lotion, which not only makes them look tan (but also makes it look darker), but also makes the tan fade quicker.
The reason dark-skinned people can get the same effect is actually because of a little known fact that happens when you sweat. When you sweat, your sweat glands release very light sweat that allows you to see the light at the end of the tunnel, or rather tunnel that leads to the end of your life.
As you sweat, your sweat glands release very light sweat that allows you to see the light at the end of the tunnel, or rather tunnel that leads to the end of your life. This process is called photoperiodism. It is why people with dark skin get darker tan as they age.
There might be a little bit of a genetic element to this too. Several generations back, people with darker skin were considered to be the least attractive amongst men, but the opposite was true for dark-skinned women. Why? Because of a little known fact that happens when you sweat. When you sweat, your sweat glands release very light sweat that allows you to see the light at the end of the tunnel, or rather tunnel that leads to the end of your life.
A simple way to prevent this is to drink a lot of water. Studies have shown that people with darker skin tend to have higher blood pressure, so drinking lots of water tends to lower blood pressure.
That’s great, but it doesn’t mean we should all just drink water for the rest of our lives. If you’re a dark-skinned woman, you might want to check out the study that shows that the blood pressure of a dark-skinned woman with high blood pressure is higher than a dark-skinned woman with normal blood pressure.
